The History Since the Liana War

At the start of the Great War there were some changes to the gods. Some lesser gods lost their battle to survive and others joined forces in order to meet the challenges ahead. The War Triad formed from Macha, Telerus, and Merces in order to give strength to the fight against evil. The Sun Goddess gave her strength to merge with the Lady of Light and they finally become one. Now known as the Sun Goddess, she still watches over all her children. The other gods in the Pantheon fought bravely and helped their followers to resist the evil which threatened them all.

As the dust settled from the Great War between Good and Evil, the world of Wilwarin fell silent. The Heroes, while victorious, fell into a deep sleep as gasses from the destruction of the artifacts settled down everywhere.
The Mage King, the only conscious being on the planet due to his abnormally high tolerance to magicks (not to mention his borderline insanity) made it his goal to return the sleeping warriors to their homes and beds. Taking pity on each, he cast additional sleeping spells to allow them to rest and spells to give them peace of mind. Being the most ancient of magicians, his spells even affected the Elves.
Such actions should be lauded; however, with the extreme concentrations of magic, the spells did not always have their usual effects...
Six months later, people begin to emerge to find things mostly unchanged, but in a way a bit foreign. It was like coming home after an extended visit away.
The Mage King in his best intents has caused a "Rip Van Winkle" syndrome...some will wake up now, some later, some perhaps not at all. And his over-powered spell to give peace of mind is resulting in some memory loss and disorientation.
But, once again, my friends, we have survived the enemy and will emerge through our persistence to become the greatest world in the universe!
