The Church in War
In the most basic sense, the Church saw the most action when the Kingdom attacked the North early on, and ran mostly support for the Sentinels. While the Sentinels traveled after that, the Church remained behind as part of a home guard defense in case the Kingdom decided to return. They didn't.

DEITY INFORMATION
Alignment: Brannegarr is Neutral Good in nature
Appearance: There have been many rumors surrounding what the Father of the Mountains looks like, some have said that a massive Dwarf, with a white beard as long as his body makes his presence felt by the faithful, while still others have recounted the appearance of a stocky dwarf, with a massively braided white beard and a massive military pick by his side. Many rumors and no confirmed sightings can be recalled.
Known Powers and Practices: To strike a dwarf is to strike an anvil. You are more likely to reshape your weapon than move him…and may the gods protect you if he lands one on you. He understands the balance between camaraderie and retribution.
Fellowships of Brannegarr:
The Mithrilbreakers: The Mithrilbreaker is the quintessential dwarf , gruff, quarrelsome and taciturn. He is also your best friend on the field of battle, as any blow struck against his allies is a Grudge that is guaranteed to be repaid in kind. Equipped with his famed Blacksilver armor, and practicing his elite weapon craft, he is a steadfast defender. This dwarf is proof against even the most powerful attacks, standing by his allies and ensuring their safety amidst the swirling chaos of battle. It is said that there are few warriors in the world who can boast they are as tough as an Mithrilbreaker, and none that can prove it.
The Stone Sentinels: The Stone Sentinels are the stout and stoic defenders of Blacksilver and the dwarven folk. They are fiercely loyal to the First Axe and count on Brannegarr for his guidance and strength.
BIO: Brannegarr is the protector of the mountains, and those who work on and in them. All who work with stone often offer a prayer to Brannegarr to guide their hands, or for safety. A gentle breeze deep within a mountain is said to be his touch and the rumble of the avalanche his ire. Blacksmiths pray for guidance, whitesmiths pray for steady hands. Brannegarr is wise and gentle when friendly, stoic and implacable when angered. His strength is derived from the earth.
On the very rare occasions that Brannegarr has been known to manifest himself, he has always appeared as a venerable Dwarf, with white hair and beard, carrying a mithril mining pick. It is said that when he defended the Dwarven MacMithrain Hold over a millennia ago, he was as the mountain: unmovable, unshakable, and the mightiest blows barely caused a scratch, and when the fury of the mountain was unleashed, the earth rose and swallowed the sky.
Many clerics of Brannegarr find the hair of their heads and beard begin to change to the silver white of the snowy mountains as their faith grows, regardless of their age. It is known as the favor of Brannegarr. On rare occasions this blessing is bestowed upon the finest of dwarven craftsman whose subsequent work appears touched by the skill of the god. The preferred weapon of his followers is the warhammer but Brannegarr has no qualms with those who prefer the axe.

VIEWS ON OTHER CHURCHES
- The Church of the Helmsman: Allied) They'll be reborn as Dwarves in their next lifetime.
The Church of the Sun Goddess: (Allied) We gotta remind 'em they don't get to lecture to us about love and peace an' whatnot, since, y'know, they be responsible fer a lotta fargups in this world. But they try, an I ain't ready ta give up on 'em yet.
The Church of Justin: (Close Allies) We've been through death and life together, and they drink almost as much as us. Brothers in arms, these ones!
The Church of the Death God: (Neutral) I ain't ready ta meet Brannegarr yet.
The Church of the Quiet God: (Neutral) I been told not ta speak ill of people I don't know. So.... *shrugs*
The Church of Cyparthia: (Friendly) A song and a story always have a place, especially so if it tells of the glory of Brannegarr and Blacksilver!
The Church of the War Triad: (Neutral) I'm confused and sober. And that's the best analogy I got to these guys.
The Church of Mysilvia: (Hated) They speak of balance and nature, and other egalitarian crap, but they'd reduce us all to poverty given the chance. Thanks, but no thanks.
The Church of Tyranos: (Hostile) The best way to go through them is down the middle. With some good old-fashioned Blacksilver steel. Or beat 'im with whatever's handy, that works too.
The Church of Ravenos: (Hated) Finish yer beer and get yer axe ready.
The Church of Asoth Thal: (Hostile) Went to a magic show once, an' I could see the wires. I ain't impressed.
The Church of Ruhn Alesi: (Hostile) Fargin' Drow-lovin' wallowers gonna send us ta Brannegarr before our time if we ain't careful.
