An acolyte serves a deity or an ideal, but unlike a cleric his powers do not come directly from worship. Instead he studies the lore of his faith much as a wizard studies arcane secrets.
WARNING: To cast a spell, an acolyte must have an Intelligence score of 10 + the spell's level. For example, to cast a 2nd-level spell, an acolyte must have an Intelligence of 12.
- Hit Die: d8.
- Proficiencies: All simple weapons, all armor, and shields.
- Skill Points (*4 at 1st level): 4 + Int Modifier.
- Spellcasting: Divine (Intelligence-based, spell preparation is required, spell failure from armor is ignored, gains spells as a wizard).
NOTE: Acolytes are a full class. They learn spells like a Wizard - a few at level up, and through scrolls.
